Blogs I Follow
Catching up on the blogs I follow is somewhat of a morning ritual of mine, and at this point, I’ve got a good handful of sites that inspire me in different ways. I use Blogger to organize the blogs I follow, so that when I go on the site, I just have one central feed to look at that shows me the newest posts from all of the blogs I follow, like this:
I’m always interested to see what sites other people are following, so I figured I would share mine here. If you’ve got any you think I should add, please let me know!
iHeartnola.com – Scott Simon, founder of iHeartnola, is such a source of positive energy and always supportive of new endeavors in the local community. I love his site for learning more about local creatives and what’s going on in the city.
Curbed NOLA – Because who doesn’t want to know what different rent prices will get you in this city? Or see what’s new and way overpriced on the market?
Eater New Orleans – This is where I find out all about all the new restaurants and bars, what operations are closing, and the best places to brunch.
GoNOLA – I like their weekend suggestions for things to do and their “20 Questions” column with different locals.
Late Afternoon – probably my favorite fashion blog; I find her style is always pretty on point.
Man Repeller – their columns are hilarious and I like that Leandra Medine styles things in ways I would never think to.
Shine By Three – pretty obsessed with Margaret Zhang right now
Gluten Free Girl and the Chef – I’m always looking for gluten-free recipes (especially crockpot!) and ideas
Finch & Fawn – lovely photos of flowers, and some honest commentary about living with diabetes
Madewell – the blog actually has a lot of good book and music recommendations, as well as interesting interviews
Moon to Moon – loooove this site for bohemian home inspiration
Upperlyne & Co. – New Orleans-based and run by Juley Le, who’s the sweetest!
Gala Darling – Gala is the person whose words I share the most; I find her so inspiring and genuine. I love reading what she’s been up to and about her thought processes.
Lexlee Overton – Baton Rouge-based lawyer-turned-healer and energy worker
Louise Androlia – Lou is who I’ve historically turned to for tarot readings and clarity sessions. She’s based in Los Angeles, having recently moved there from the UK.
It’s not technically a blog, but I subscribe to theSkimm to stay connected to what’s going on in the news each day. It’s easily digestible and typically pretty comprehensive. You can sign up using my referral link here.
The Write Life – learned a TON about freelancing and writing in general from these guys
