San Juan, Puerto Rico

I’m nearly fresh off the plane after a 6-day stay in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Justin and I went with a group of friends and stayed in the Isla Verde area of the city; it was my first time visiting the territory and it was a refreshing trip. Since this follows my Jamaica trip from last spring and our Puerto Vallarta trip earlier this year, I’m definitely inspired to continue visiting as many tropical destinations as possible. I guess it’s safe to say I’m always pretty happy anytime there’s a beach involved and a frozen beverage in my hand.

Some of the most interesting things I experienced along the way:

*had a hot chocolate with nutella at Bistro Cafe

*ate mofongo at Inca Chicken

*rented a car to drive out to Playa Crashboat near Aguadilla

*toured the Castillo de Cristobal & Cathedral of San Juan Bautista

*watched the locals salsa at La Placita

*went shopping on Calle del Cristo in Old San Juan

I would like to make a return trip to experience El Yunque National Rainforest and the bio-bay near Vieques. Here are some pictures that I took during our stay. Enjoy, and please always tell me anytime you travel to beautiful beaches so I can add them to my must-see list! xo
